The variety "Samara Lidia" was bred in a French nursery. The plant belongs to the group of low-growing compact hydrangeas up to 1.3 m high and 1.1 m wide. It can be used for container planting.
It is characterized by long flowering in summer and autumn. It has strong red shoots with rough leaves of dark green color. Each shoot ends in a cone-shaped inflorescence 15 cm long, which quickly changes color during flowering. The inflorescence is a group of dense large flowers that bloom in white and gradually turn pink and red.
Hydrangea flagellum is light-loving, tolerates partial shade. Prefers fertile, loose, moist, acidic soils. Does not tolerate lime in the soil.
